Aditya is part of the Regulatory and Policy Practice group of the firm. With significant experience in handling policy, regulatory and contractual disputes, he has around 10 years of experience in Dispute Resolution with a special focus on civil and regulatory litigation. He has advised and represented clients in precedent-setting commercial and regulatory matters before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Appellate Tribunals (In Competition, Corporate, Broadcasting and Power), Regulators (in Competition, Press and Power). He has also advised various private equity firms and financial institutions in their investment in Energy Sector, Port and SEZ etc. He has strong interest in academics and regular contributed/quoted in Mercom, Solar Quarter, EQ International, Business Standard, Economic Times etc and played instrumental role in finalization of courses on energy law of various law schools and technology schools. He is a law graduate of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (C.G.) and has obtained master’s degree in Law and Finance from Institute for Law and Finance, Frankfurt (Germany). He has previously worked with Bharucha & Partners and Desai & Diwanji.

  • Various renewable power generators on representing before the Andhra Pradesh High Court and Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission in matters relating to termination of power purchase agreement, reduction of tariff for supply of power and curtailment of power generated.
  • Rooftop solar power generating station before MERC against imposition of Grid Support Charges
  • Various renewable energy generating companies on representing before MPERC against proposed draft regulation of MPERC wherein MPERC proposed to remove must run status of Renewable Energy Generating Station
  • Solar federation before Appellate Tribunal of Electricity against an order of Electricity Regulatory Commission Generic Solar Tariff Order
  • Various energy companies before Supreme Court in an appeal filed by distribution company against the order of the Appellate Tribunal wherein Appellate Tribunal had dismissed appeal of the distribution company against generic tariff order
